Deuteronomy ch. 27; 28, 29
The severity of the sermon of Moses , to journey's end in the plains of Moab , equivalent to Jesus in his sermons throughout his short life . And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself . On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. " Matthew 22 : 37-40
God in giving the law to the people was not to enslave them , but give them a rule of life that differentiate them from other people , because they were property of the Lord . The law was spiritual force. " For we know that the law is spiritual." Rom 7 : 14 should follow it with heart and obedience , not doing so would be subject to expulsion of God from them .
